Why I love Wednesdays - Favorite Male Leads

Why I love Wednesdays is a weekly meme hosted by the fun blog, Reflections of a Bookaholic. It's a mid-week meme focusing on something loved about books or bookish. I do a lot of memes already that are general questions, but some of these themes and prompts are a bit different so thought it looked fun!

Week's Theme: Favorite Male Leads
Why I love...The Following Lead Males!

I admit to doing this one late. I couldn't think of anything for some reason that Wednesday. Then, a few weeks later, when doing the female one, they suddenly started springing to my head.

I'm in a meme mood and better late than never, right?

  • Alex Delaware and Milo - Love these two from the Alex Delaware series. The compassion, sarcasm, humor, intelligence, investigation techniques, and indepth psychological study make them a great team to read through.
  • Curran from the Kate Daniels series - An excellent alpha type male who's page-time is drool-worthy. Hot, powerful, funny, honorable, fascinating.
  • Al and Kisten from the Hollows books. Have to throw Trent love in here too. There's so many great characters in the Hollows series that someone from each would probably make a list!
  • Terrible from the Downside Ghosts series - Flawed, not attractive, violent, and thuggish, he wiggles his way into a readers heart as a pretty terrific guy who you keep rooting for and wanting to read more of.
  • Eric from the Sookie Stackhouse series - Earlier books before the author started changing him and making him formulaic to get her point across they can't be together. His humor, vivacity for living, creative power plays, sex appeal, and antics make him truly memorable.
  • And of course: HERCULE POIROT, the great Beligum detective constantly using his "little grey cells" to solve numerous crimes in the Agatha Christie books. After all, he's the only literary character to get a real obituary in the New York Times!
