Sunday Salon 7/19/2015

The Sunday Salon was originally started in 2008, but over the years has grown too large to accept new members. They are now a facebook group and open to all.

   What's Going On This Week...

Thankfully I got Friday off from work - really needing it. Burning out on job lately so this time off is a good thing.

Thursday night I went with mom, son and his friends to watch The Gallows at the theatre. The kids and their horror movies. Being a horror fan, not adverse to it, although this movie wasn't that good. It was passable once.

   What I'm Watching

I've been watching Friday Night Lights on Netflix. Hadn't heard of the show before but it's pretty good and drama filled, even though I don't like football.

   What I'm Making

The Urban Fantasy shelf is now completely done except for the fireplace section. We have the trimming up. Still need to get the plates or vases my mom is going to paint on for me. We bought the rest of the wood today to finish the shelves completely. I haven't been uber creative.

Bitstrips of the Week

Impressive Bookish-World I Need to Visit

The Last Bookstore (Los Angeles, California)

This bookstore has books on the ceiling and used to create arches. On the top floor they have over 100,000 books that only cost $1.00. This magical place would be a great place for any book lover to browse.

What I've Read This Week

I haven't read many on my planned list and I haven't been reading much still, again the summer schedule slows me down as it does every year.

A Curious Tale of the In-Between is an excellent children book I received for review. Review is here.

The Golden Thief was a disappointing but passable Harlequin, included with other Harlequins in the mini monthly harlequin recap here.

Pleasure Unbound is a paranormal romance and surprisingly good. Review coming soon.

   Currently Reading

I'm still reading three of these (just starting) and have yet to start The Secret Casebook of Simon Feximal. Still in the grip of slower summer reading.
