Booking Through Thursdays, Week of June 30

A Weekly Meme Hosted by Booking Through Thursday
I stumbled onto a pretty nifty site called Booking Through Thursday. They post a question a week related to reading/books. We'll see how long my motivation lasts.

June 28, 2007
What’s the most desperate thing you’ve read because it was the only available reading material?
If it was longer than a cereal box or an advertisement, did it turn out to be worth your while?
A. Errrr who the hell can remember? I'd say the most recent is when I couldn't find a book - ANY BOOK, even non-fiction, when spending the weekend at someone's house. I craved a bath with a relaxing hour or so of reading. I had to skim through --- *sniff* --- cookbooks. Cookbooks are great and all, but not when you're wanting to read.
Sadly no, I just gave up and in. Showers were invented for a reason I guess.

....and, because I'm bored and don't want to go to sleep at a reasonable hour like I should, I'll answer the previous week's question too.
Since school is out for the summer (in most places, at least), here’s a school-themed question for the week:
  1. Do you have any old school books? Did you keep yours from college? Old textbooks from garage sales? Old workbooks from classes gone by?
  2. How about your old notes, exams, papers? Do you save them? Or have they long since gone to the great Locker-in-the-sky?

I love school books! I didn't love school though and didn't actually use the books there *shrugs* On my desk I have a literature book and 2 English books, and I try to collect college psychology books. Have to appear smart to people when they come over, ya know.

The only papers I have are some I threw away just last weekend - some from a technical center's basic math refreshment course.
