A Weekly Meme Hosted by Booking Through Thursday

Have you ever written an author a fan letter? Did you get an answer? Did it spark a conversation? A meeting? (And, sure, I suppose that e-mails DO count . . . but I’d say no to something like a message board on which the author happens to participate.)

Hm never wrote a fan letter to an author. I've had correspondence through email over reviews with a few, though. Not through this site but through friends horror site, Wheels of Terror, when I used to just review one genre and didn't have personal space to post other reviews. Edward Lee, James Moore, and a few others. It was fun stuff to think, Wowee, we're talking.

I concur with Cee Cee, Julia and Melody!

I'm not much of a fan letter writer too, but if I have the urge to say thank-you or make some comments, I'll definitely write... :D

Wowee, no comments when I last looked, now four at once. Julia, I've been reviewing off and on for a few years but nothing regular until now.

I just got my first author response to a review I wrote about her book. :-) She's been stopping in on my blog for awhile now and it thrills me no end. I try to play it cool though. LOL Anyhow, I think it's wonderful that there is open communication between authors and readers these days.
