I didn't do a Mailbox Monday last week as I didn't receive any new books (for shame!) I need to slow down on the acquiring of new books because of budget and because the TBR pile keeps growing, growing, and growing. I still have 2 new credits at the Paperbackswap though, so this is never written in sand of course. (evil grin)
I did receive a book this week for free from my pastor. Been a Christian since childhood but only recently baptised. Was baptised and accepted into membership at my local Methodist church the same day, fun times it was. The whole family got together and attended. :) This last week my pastor gave me a book as a gift.
By Water and the Spirit: Making Connections for Identity and Ministry (The Christian Initiation Series) by Gayle Felton
By Water and the Spirit, a 6-session study guide for use in small groups, contains the full text of the paper, ""By Water and the Spirit,"" describing the United Methodist understanding of baptism approved by the 1996 General Conference. MThis booklet serves as a resource for congregational leaders who are helping members make connections between the baptismal covenant and discipleship in daily life. Third book in the Christian Initiation series.
