Tune-In Tuesdays: My Teen Years (1995)

A Weekly Meme from GReads
Since music is one of the main things in my life outside of books, I jumped on the bandwagon for this fun meme.

What were you listening to when you were a teenager? We all come from different decades, with different tunes.  For this month, please pick some of your favorite songs that bring you back to those glorious teenage years!

The Year: 1995. I was fifteen, went to my first concert (White Zombie/Filter), and all into the Hard Rock magazines and band T-Shirts.

White Zombie: Living Dead Girl

I was a huge fan at fifteen and went to their concert, which was a shining moment of the year. They were energetic live and sounds about as good as CD. I still listen to Rob Zombie by himself but miss the magic that was the band. My friend Ben was overjoyed Sean Yseult spit on him from the stage (ewwww....) I remember wearing annoying "skorts", thankfully these went out of style soon after. Also, Marilyn Manson showed up at the concert to jam with the fans but I didn't get to see him.

Live: Lightning Crashes

This song is still brilliant, although Overcome has taken the place in my heart as my favorite from them.

Coolio: Gangsta's Paradise

Fun song back then even if it was still cheesy when made, Dangerous Minds was a huge movie for the year so this song was everywhere

Madonna: You'll See

One of my favorites from the ever-changing pop diva

Marilyn Manson: Sweet Dreams (Are Made of These)

I was still a huge Manson fan from the year before and their new album Smells like children was grabbed by me fast. Sweet dreams was all the rage on the radio and in my high school.
