Early Chapters: Diana Rowland

The Sneak Peak for "Touch of The Demon"
Kara Gillian Series
Urban Fantasy

Initial Thoughts:
CHAPTER ONE
  • Book four ended on a MASSIVE cliffhanger. The author has the tendency to do this. Last one was brutal though.
  • This chapter preview uses HUGE font.
  • Anyone else love when Rhyzkhal is called her Lord?? Yes, I'm silly.
  • Being told you're about to be purified can NEVER be a good thing when being held captive by anyone.

CHAPTER TWO
  • Ew...especially if the purifying water smells like "rotten eggs!" Nasty sulfur.
  • Gestamar snorts a lot.
  • I love the expression, "Crapsticks." Hadn't seen that one before anywhere.
  • I really hope this book finally explains what's going on, because it's confusing.
Questions Raised:
  • Is she really this Elinor person or not?
  • Was she a previous summoner for Ryan? Easier to spell that name than his demon one.
  • Wonder what they have planned next, and how she will escape? Publication will tell.
  • Since the ability to retrieve her was removed, surely this didn't remove Rhyzkhal's mark completely? Hope not!
Excitement Comes:
It's as confusing as ever. I really hope this one clears more up. I love the series but my mind is fuzzy with what's going on anymore. Can't wait, will be published this month in December. Also I'm curious  how long this series will continue, seems to be a good deal left of it but it's hard to tell.

Yet intrigue and treachery run rampant amongst all lords, and Kara is hard pressed to keep her wits about her. Her abilities as a homicide detective are put the the test as she seeks the truth about FBI Agent Ryan Kristoff, Rhyzkahl, and herself. But, the answers she finds only raise more questions.
