Dec 25th - Christmas movies and TV episodes

Based on a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and The Bookish.

Freebie (so that those too busy celebrating won't miss a topic)
YAY! I love freebies, as I can choose an oldie I missed or whatever I want. I think since it's Christmas I'd like to do Christmas shows or movies.

It's A Wonderful Life

I LOVE this movie! Almost every year I watch it at Christmas time. I remember my mother always watched this one when I was growing up and I was hooked. James Stewart was an astounding actor, and the level of depth and emotion with this one simply rocks.

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation

One of the funniest movies ever, and perhaps one of the more realistic movies about Christmas with visiting families, shopping, dinners, and expecting Christmas bonuses.

Jingle All The Way

It's not my type of movie in general but there's something about this one I found genuinely amusing and fun.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas

I haven't seen the film version but the animated one is awesome. Accompanied by the fun poems and music and great animation, this is a classic for adults and children alike.
A Christmas Story

Would you believe I wasn't an adult until I saw this one? It's great and I'm surprised I waited so long. Still need a little lamp figurine as a joke.

A morbid classic for the holiday, Gremlins is entertaining, fun, creative, and I think everyone wanted their very own non-breeding Gizmo at some point. Cute little thing isn't he?

For the rest I want to display fun TV shows with Christmas. My best friend and I always say Roseanne wins with Halloween and Thanksgiving (dinner roll in the face anyone?) but that Home Improvement always takes the cake when it comes to Christmas:

Home Improvement

Golden Girls

I keep trying to find small funny Christmas clips but apparently they keep uploading half of entire episodes!

They had some funny episodes for the holiday. Found this actually sweet clip of them exchanging gifts

America's Funniest Home Videos

A cute compilation - although what's with that impatient mother at 25 seconds? LOL
