Two of my best friends brought me out for a late birthday celebration on Tuesday, first to my favorite Italian restaurant, then to a beauty supply store, and finally the bookstore (books-a-million). Fun night!
Book Gifts
First, my friend Amber gifted me this, a vintage Superman comic that I plan to frame. Love it - thank you Amber!
And, as the bookstore I picked this out for myself. Since I'm almost done with the Mortal Instruments, it was a given to read the other series set in the same world. I didn't own any, but the box set called my name.

I also ordered myself a book shaped cake pan for birthday cakes this year. It's a lot larger than I figured, will definitely take two boxes of mix.
