The Sunday Salon was originally started in 2008, but over the years has grown too large to accept new members. They are now a facebook group and open to all. Imagine some university library's vast reading room. It's filled with
people--students and faculty and strangers who've wandered in. They're
seated at great oaken desks, books piled all around them, and they're
all feverishly reading and jotting notes in their leather-bound journals
as they go. Later they'll mill around the open dictionaries and compare
their thoughts on the afternoon's literary intake....
Past Week - Personal Stuff
Not as busy this week friend-wise as I was last week, but have been doing a lot around the house. Still can't wait for Spring break and to get a few extra days of work off. How nice that will be :)Really the only extra stuff I've done this week is shopping Saturday and Sunday, cleaning, painting (see that below), and the coffee shop.
What I'm Making -
Mom and I went to eat at Divicious coffee shop Saturday morning, followed by a few consignment shops and a much-needed trip to Home Depot. Spent all day Saturday painting my hideous bathroom dark green, which turned out nice. I got a complimentary light color to paint the counters and trim (all that pending when I'm in the mood.)
Got a new shower caddy kit to hang up on the shower call and get rid of my over-the-shower hanger. I love it. I also got two wire racks inspired by Pinterest to attach inside my bathroom counter and maximize storage, and threw in a second one for the food cupboard.
From Product Website - this one is what I bought but mines not fully hung up and decorated yet.
Also got a nice bathroom set at the thrift store to hold all the dental stuff (3 piece green to match) and a wire and green leaf wine bottle holder that looks perfect storing toilet paper in the bathroom. Rearranged the wall art and added a new black shelf under a green mirror and by two pictures. Cleaned the shower curtain, and we're now almost all set.
Still have the do the trimming but it's turned out great and I'm happy. Definitely feeling accomplished. Good excuse to buy more of my favorite bubble bath today, of which Walmart sadly only had one left of. Hopefully they're not going to stop selling it.

Almost done with the Hannibal Lecter series read and re-read, only one left (Hannibal). Have read that one before so it will be a re-read. Also, Search the Shadows was part of my Barbara Michaels re-read.

Continuing my theme of reading the Hannibal Lecter series this year in order of events, I'm beginning Red Dragon. I will continue with Kingdom Come - want to read a lot of superhero novels this year as another theme, so not sure why that's going so slowly. The book is highly rated and good so far. Search the Shadows is from continuing a massive Barbara Michaels re-read this year to cover those books I've read but not reviewed.
