The Sunday Salon was originally started in 2008, but over the years has grown too large to accept new members. They are now a facebook group and open to all. Imagine some university library's vast reading room. It's filled with
people--students and faculty and strangers who've wandered in. They're
seated at great oaken desks, books piled all around them, and they're
all feverishly reading and jotting notes in their leather-bound journals
as they go. Later they'll mill around the open dictionaries and compare
their thoughts on the afternoon's literary intake....
Past Week - Personal Stuff
It's been a decent week so far, although I did get some news that makes me nervous. Crossing my fingers it won't become an incredibly stressful issue. Cross your fingers for me too!Saturday I took my son out to play paintball for the first time. He was joining three other friends there. We've never been before so it was a completely new experience. What a violent turnout, but he loved it and is addicted already. Have a feeling there will be more paintball in our future.
What I'm Making -
Nothing really. I haven't gotten around to doing trim and door of bathroom yet. This upcoming week will be creative as I finally get to bring out my large book cake pan I ordered. Hopefully the cake turns out decent, it will be for my dad and brother's birthday. I did get some new chairs and my mom gave me her table I've been wanting.

I've been slacking this week and only finished two books. I finished Hannibal in one day, but Kingdom should finally be wrapping up tonight. I have no idea why it's so hard for me to get into that book.

I'm at almost page 200 of City of Heavenly Fire. So far it's excellent and may be the best so far. Hope that continues. It's a large book so may take me a little while. Won't have much reading time this week. The Accidental Demon Slayer I'm going to start soon. I've been slowly reading Fried Green Tomatoes, at the beginning of it.
