Hosted by Reading Every Season
I remember two years ago, there were several reading challenges set for summer months only. Sadly last year there were few. I like the idea of this new page, to do challenges catered for the seasons. Since it's tracked differently and doesn't last all year, putting it here instead of the main challenge page.
This challenge begins June 1, 2015 and ends Aug 31, 2015.
From the website:
How the Summer Reading Challenge Works:
- This is a design it yourself challenge. I want you to choose your own reading goals. This is a low pressure challenge meant to be fun.
- Ideally books should be summer themed but this will not be a rule. Include books with words to do with summer, the beach, sand, the ocean or sea, swimming, summer holidays, summer clothing, sunglasses, the sun, or summer weather. Books with a summer, pool, or beach scene on the cover will also be encouraged.
- If you prefer not to stick with only summer themed books that is okay. I want as many people to participate as possible so I will allow all books no matter the subject or title. However, everyone is strongly encouraged to focus on summer themed books.
- When you have reviewed a book, you are encouraged to come back to this post and add the link to your review in the comments.

I was just looking at this the other day and thinking of reading it (Jaws 2). I re-read Jaws this year so reading the sequel makes sense, although this will be a first time read for me instead of a redo. A friend on Goodreads gave it an extremely high rating, so I'm curious. Summer/beach = Sharks! Plus, these things seem to happen in the summer. Silly Jaws. - completed
Meg is another shark related book - I bought it from a friend of mine during a big book buying spree. It's part of a series, have another in the series but not the second.
Starcrossed is a YA I borrowed and want to read. Threw it up there because it has water on the cover.

The Pearl is a classic I'm wanting to read, pearls come from the sea. To me the sea means beach which means summer.
Beach Music is again, beach = summer
She's come undone is a drama I want to read. Water and pretty skies in the background.
