The Sneak Peak for "White Hot"
Initial Thoughts
PROLOGUE
I'm still bummed I read and loved the first book this year only to find the sequel has been pushed back. *sniff*
I really hope they change the cover
I can understand her going undercover in this situation in the prologue - I'm intrigued about her exploring her power more
I'm not sure what to think of Augustin yet. I thought he'd be more upset about her hiding her secret that was revealed at the end of last book.
CHAPTER ONE
Their writing style sucks me in no matter what is happening.
I don't remember this guy from the first book really - reread needed already??
I've never heard of the Strawberry-Kiwi juice box thing...
She really knows her weapons, but it's still impressive to hear again.
Wow, $50,000? Considering how cheap her firm is considered compared to the others, the future alternate reality is definitely super-inflation time.
I can't stop laughing about the bridal magazine covers - the best part so far.
Questions Raised:
When is Rogan coming? Can't wait?
Wonder how involved the poor guy's House he's working for is?
I'm still intriguing on learning more information about the Houses and how much they control and how that really works.
Excitement Comes:
I CANNOT WAIT!! I love the authors works in other series and the first one of this impressed me more with a first book than any other so far in their series.
Cover Release (So far, will probably change....):
Update on the website: "This book has been delayed. We are working on it now and will update the site as soon as we have the new publication date."
Nevada Baylor has a unique and secret skill—she knows when people are lying—and she's used that magic (along with plain, hard work) to keep her colorful and close-knit family's detective agency afloat. But her new case pits her against the shadowy forces that almost destroyed the city of Houston once before, bringing Nevada back into contact with Connor "Mad" Rogan.
Rogan is a billionaire Prime—the highest rank of magic user—and as unreadable as ever, despite Nevada's "talent." But there's no hiding the sparks between them. Now that the stakes are even higher, both professionally and personally, and their foes are unimaginably powerful, Rogan and Nevada will find that nothing burns like ice . . .
