Planning at least 15 hours of reading
Reading Progress:
8:00 am, 9:00 am, till 10:30 am ----- Zzzzzzzz. Not a morning person and I love sleeping in on Saturdays. Had fun last night at the theatre watching the new Halloween with my son though :)
11:30 - Still haven't started. Shame on me. Woken up and uploading the planned Audiobook on my phone and giving it a bit of a charge, and updating all social media (of course!).
I did do the 8 am picture in advance to show the "book stack" - mainly e-books this time around.
As always the readathon was fun. I didn't finish any books but I made progress on five. I took a lot of breaks and had a lot going on at the same time as reading. I finished a book I started yesterday today, Dark Hollows. Got to a bit over 50% of both The Jaws Log and Predator: Incursion. Got to 30% of Sleepy Hollow.
Survey and Miscellaneous Stuff:
Opening Survey:
1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today? Lakeland, FL
2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to? The Cheerleaders by Kara Thomas. I loved her book Little Monsters.
3) Which snack are you most looking forward to? I'm going to try an Wake Me Up Oatmeal as found here, some more of the Pumpkin Butter from Sir Henry's Haunted Trails, some cottage cheese and peaches, a large Ham Chef Salad tonight, and random snacks throughout the day.
4) Tell us a little something about yourself! I'm not a morning person and like to sleep in Saturday, hence why I didn't want to start the read-a-thon at 8 (I knew I couldn't do the full 24 hours this time anyway, aiming for 15 hours)
5) If you participated in the last read-a-thon, what’s one thing you’ll do different today? Pictures will be taken when they happen instead of any pre-planned.
Mid-Event Survey:
1. What are you reading right now? Right now a brief break to eat dinner. Who am I kidding, I've been doing tons of mini-breaks today! I just finished reading some Predator Incursion, but I'm about to start some of another, The Cheerleaders.
2. How many books have you read so far? I've read some of four.
3. What book are you most looking forward to for the second half of the Read-a-thon? I'm curious about seeing some of the Kindle in Motion in progress later with Dracula and Grim's Tales
4. Have you had many interruptions? How did you deal with those? Spending time with son, brother came over to talk, etc.
5. What surprises you most about the Read-a-thon, so far? How fast it always goes.
